Fall 2007

“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” was performed in front of over 450 fans on Sunday, September 16 at St. Joseph’s University’s Bluett Theater. AWB Jr. performed the opening act and stole the hearts of everyone in attendance. The main show provided a comedic look at a day on the life of Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts Gang! Summer 2007

AWB Jr. received their first grant from the students in the Grant Making Club at Agnes Irwin School. The $3,900 check was presented by Club President Ellie Lewis at an AWB Jr. Workshop.
Christine Rouse’s five-minute interview about her Kids R Kids and AWB programs aired on CNN Headline News sixteen times over the course of a week
First ever summer-workshop and performance held at The Haverford School. The AWB actors performed “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” to over 400 excited ESF Summer Campers. After the performance a cast party was held on the stage.

Spring 2007

Monthly Workshops continued at The Episcopal Academy in Devon, PA
Over 160 guests attended the Annual AWB Cocktail Party at the Marriott in Conshohocken. Guests were treated to great food and drink, entertainment by Brazilian band, Minas, spectacular raffle prizes ranging from $125-$900. The highlights of the evening were the performances by the stars of AWB Jr & AWB!

Social Outings to the movies and the People’s Light Theater to see “The Giver”
Two new initiatives began to provide more resources and support for AWB actors and their families. Actor Enrichment sessions were held after each Workshop focusing on different areas of interest for the AWB actors. The Parent Forum was held before each Workshop with AWB & AWB Jr. parents participating to allow for an open exchange of issues and ideas.

December 2006 ~ Plans for AWB Fundraiser announced! The event will be held on Thursday, April 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Conshohocken Marriott. The actors from AWB and AWB Jr. will perform during this exciting evening. Live music will be provided by the Brazilian Band "Minas"! All friends of AWB are invited to join the actors as we strive to reach new heights this year once again. To view and print the invitation, click on the calendar of events link to the left.

November 2006 ~ AWB Jr. was born! AWB Jr. is a musical and theatrical program for children with disabilities between the ages of 4 and 11. The program is led by AWB's Musical Director Maria Ceferatti. On November 18, the actors of AWB performed at The World Congress on Disabilities at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Workshops continued at The Episcoapl Academy in Devon, PA in preparation for AWB's next performance, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.

September 2006 ~ AWB participated in the Ardmore Community Day to raise community awareness about the program. AWB was featured on “Moms on The Move”, a nationally televised show which airs on HGTV, Food Network and ION Network.

September 2006 ~ The cast of AWB performed “Pippin” in front of a packed house at Bluett Theater at Saint Joseph’s University following a 4-day intensive workshop. The set was professionally designed for the first time!
