Neill Hartley, Artistic Director, AWB Neill is involved in several aspects of professional theater. As an actor, he has appeared in many regional productions including: Working, Sweeney Todd and Company at the Arden Theatre; God's Country and Aunt Dan and Lemon with InterAct Theatre; Measure for Measure, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival; and Batboy, The Musical for 1812 Productions, which won a Philadelphia Barrymore Award for best ensemble. He has three one-man shows that he regularly presents: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Spirit of Lindbergh, and Sherlock Holmes and The Speckled Band. His work can also be seen in commercials and films, and he is spokesperson for Spray-N-Grow, a national gardening company. Neill has directed shows for Philadelphia Young Playwright's, University of the Arts, Isis Productions, Luna Theater and National Theater Workshop for the Handicapped. He recently directed Road to Nirvana for the University of Pennsylvania and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf for Luna. In addition to The AWB Variety Hour, he will be directing upcoming productions of Picasso at the Lapin Agile for Arcadia University, and Lettice and Lovage for Isis. He is an assistant professor of voice and speech at The University of the Arts and has acted as a speech/dialect coach for several professional theater productions. Neill holds an MFA in Acting from Temple University.
Maria Ceferatti, Musical Director, AWB Maria is the Musical Director of AWB. Maria is a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a B.A. in Music Education. She enjoys reading, watching movies, playing with her son, traveling, listening to music, and teaching piano and violin lessons. Maria has extensive experience in performing and directing. She has performed in a high school the production of Annie and directed Bye Bye Birdie and Grease. Maria was the musical director of Fiddler on the Roof, HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, Aida, and Adaptations of Turandot.
Michael DeVitis, Assistant Director, AWB Michael is a 2002 graduate from Albright College with a B.A degree in Theatre and certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. He is currently a full-time member with ESF as a proud member of the Admissions Team. As an actor, Mike has performed in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Freight Dogs, Bash, Prelude to a Kiss, Hamlet, and Much Ado About Nothing all for the Albright College Theatre and most recently The Glass Menagerie with the Reading Community Players. Mike's most memorable performance came last year as he took the stage for the AWB Variety Hour with the incredible actors who participated in the September 2004 workshop. |
